How to prepare a good yerba mate infusion?
The first thing we need is obviously yerba, the main ingredient of the drink. Also the name of the container used to drink the infusion is “mate”. It can be of different materials, being the most common pumpkin, wood or metal. The bombilla straw or sorbet with a filter on the bottom that is used to drink mate without swallowing the leaves of yerba. The other principal ingredient is hot water 75 to 80 °C (167 to 176 °F). Sugar, or some sweetener is optional.
